word for the day, 06 17 2017, John 6:38, Not my will but thine be done

It is Saturday, June 17th, Preparation Day. Father’s Day Eve.

Listen to the word of God to us today
John 6:38 “I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.” (NKJV)

Not my will but thine be done. What a difference it would make if we all had this attitude. This chorus keeps ringing in my ear-‘I want to do thy will oh Lord, Take me, break me, hold me and make me, I want to do thy will oh Lord.’ This is my desire.

Prayer for the day:-Father, our desire is to do your will not our. help us we beseech you. This we pray in Jesus name. Amen.
