word for the day, 05 23 2017, Psalm 145:1-2, Can’t stop praising the Lord

Please pray for the victims of the Manchester suicide attack that resulted in many dead and injured.

It is Tuesday, May 23nd. TGFT. (Today’s word respectfully submitted by Minister D Francis of Life Tab. AFB. Kgn. Ja)

Listen to the word of God to us today

“I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.” (Psalm 145:1-2 KJV)

One Hebrew word translated as ‘praise’ is HALAL (the root of Hallelujah) meaning “to praise, honour or commend”. Psalm 145:1 tells us who is worthy of praise – God, Jehovah/Yahweh. Interestingly, verse 2 teaches us when we should give God praise – Every day, for ever and ever. So the fact that we praised Him yesterday does not mean that we should not praise Him today… and praising Him today does not excuse us from praising Him tomorrow.

PRAYER: Jehovah, we praise, worship and adore You from the rising of the sun to its going down. May we not neglect this daily duty. This we pray in Jesus name, Amen.
