word for the day, 01 30 2017, Luke 22:42, Thy will be done

It is Monday, January 30th, TGFT. The last Monday of January 2017.

Listen to the word of God to us today.

Luke 22:42 “Father , if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” (KJV)
These are the words of Jesus just before he went to the cross. ‘Not my will, but thine be done.’ Powerful words, which should instruct us when we pray. These words will change our attitude and our altitude. Make your desire be that ‘God’s will be done.’
Prayer for the day: Father, help us to know your will and to be accepting of your will. This we pray in Jesus name, Amen.
