Big Time Happy Anniversary to to the Love of my life and the best wife ever for 37 glorious/wonderful/super/exciting/beautiful/great years- Claudette Ann Washington. Thank you Claudette with all my heart, I do truly love you. You are the best thing that ever happened to me.
It is Thursday, July 14th. Today is a red letter day. To God alone be the glory, to God alone be the praise. Indeed to God alone be the glory for the past thirty and seven (37) years, being the best years of our lives. Today we have so much to be thankful for. Forgive me if I take a little time right now to say “Thank you Lord for all you done for us.”
Where do I start- word fail to express our gratitude, we just burst out in singing this morning- ‘Thanks, Thanks, we give you thanks for all you’ve done- we are so blessed, our soul is at rest, Oh Lord, we give you thanks.” “God is so good, God is so good, God is so good, he’s so good to us.” I guess we will be singing all day today about the goodness, mercy, grace, faithfulness, and love of the Lord to us. Give thanks with us for the Lord is good, yes God is good.
Listen to the word of the Lord.
Psalm 150:1-6 “Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” (KJV)
Prayer for the day: Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. We give you thanks and praise for your goodness towards Claudette and myself for the past 37 years. You are good, and you are great. You do for us more than we are able to even imagine. Thank you, thank you, Thank you LORD. Accept the praise of our lips and the thanksgiving of our hearts, this we pray in Jesus name, Amen.
