word for the day 01 24 2016, Mark 4:39, Peace-Be Still

Alert- The snow blizzard is over here in the North East. I slept through a great part of the storm yesterday. Again, If you live in this region-please be very careful outside. If you live outside this area-Please pray for us.
Today’s word respectfully reprinted from word published 1-27-2015

It is Sunday, January 24th. The Lord’s Day. For those of us here in the North East we will have to have fellowship in our home with family.
Listen to the word of God to us today.

Mark 4:39 “And he arose, and rebuke the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, BE STILL. And the wind ceased, and there was a calm.” (KJV) (uppercase letters-my emphasis)
In the midst of the disciples storm, the Lord Jesus came and give them peace and comfort, and a miracle. This shows Jesus power, authority, and ability to calm our storms. Today whatever you face our encounter, be reminded he can calm our storm. He said to the storm ‘BE STILL.’ We can say to our storm, ‘IN Jesus name- BE STILL.’

Prayer for the day:– Father in heaven, you are great, you do miracles so great, there is no one else like you. Help us today to know and to trust you to still our storms. This we pray in JESUS name. Amen.
