word for the day 01 16 2016, 1 John 5:14, Not my will, but thine be done

It is Saturday, January 16th, 2016. Preparation Day.
Listen to the word to us today

1 John 5:14 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.”(KJV)

Praying that God’s will be done. What is God’s will? God’s will is that we be faithful and obedient to His WORD to us. What a difference it would make if we ask God in our prayer that his will, not ours be done. Remember Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane-He prayed-“nvertheless not my will but thine be done.” Yes we all have our wish and desire, but God’s will is that we be saved and serve Him.

Prayer for the day:- Father we thank you for this day. Help us to trust you, and follow your will. This we pray in Jesus name. AMEN
