word for the day 12 25 2015, Luke 2:1, Merry Christmas 2015

Today’s word respectfully reproduced from December 25, 2013 written by Claudette Washington
It is Friday December 25th. TGFT. Christmas Day 2015. Merry Christmas to all and may you all have a truly blessed day..
Listen to the word of God to us today
Luke 2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” (KJV)

Christ is the essence of why we celebrate this holiday; yet naysayers and haters: such as the Atheist and Politically Correct are trying to take away Christ out of Christmas. We cannot let these haters and naysayers win, we have to join forces and continue to proclaim Christmas as our RIGHT.
In Church on Sunday, a young man hugged me and said “Happy Holidays” I reminded him that in church we say Merry Christmas. Society is brainwashing the young generation into forgetting why we celebrate Christmas, so as Christians we have to be proactive with the young people we come in contact with: Tell them the story of Christmas repeatedly, so it becomes ingrained into their being as it is in ours.
Let’s see if we can take the salty out of salt or the sweetness out of sugar, that’s pretty impossible and so it is with Christ in Christmas.
We must continue to say MERRY CHRISTMAS and not happy holidays.
A VERY MERRY AND BLESSED CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL, AND A BRIGHT AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR. LOVE TO YOU ALL.
Claudette

Prayer for the day:Father thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ. This we pray in JESUS name. Amen.
