word for the day 07 04 2015, Revelation 1:5, Happy Independence Day 2015

It is Saturday July 4th. Happy Independence Day to all. (Today’s word reproduced from July 4,2013)
We celebrate this day with fireworks and barbeque of hamburgers and hot dogs. As we celebrate independence day, I ask you what does the day mean to you? What do you think of this day? To me, today speaks of a physical freedom, which is wonderful, but here is another kind of freedom, a Spiritual freedom that we have been talking about for the past day. Have you been made free by the Lord Jesus Christ? Listen to the word of the Lord.

Revelation 1:5 “…To Him who loves us and has FREED us from our sins by his blood.” (NIV) (upper case -my emphasis) What a great salvation we have in Jesus. He not only save us from our sins, but he Loves us, and sets us FREE from the very penalty of sins. Hallelujah, praise His holy name.
Jesus came to save us from the bondage of sin, from the grip of sin, and from the power of sin. Hallelujah.

Prayer for the day: Father, how we praise you. Thank you for setting us free from the burden of sins. Today our hearts are filled with praise and thanksgiving because you did a most wonderful thing for us one glorious happy day, the day we were delivered from our sins. This we pray in Jesus name, Amen.
