word for the day, 04 27 2015, 2 Corinthians 5:21 Jesus took our place

It is Monday April 27th. TGFT.

Listen to the word of God to us today.
2 Corinthians 5:21 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (NIV)

Jesus took our place. Jesus, God’s Son took our place on the cross and we who are guilty have been made free. What a great exchange. We should be the ones hanging on the cross, we are the ones guilty and deserve to die, but Jesus took our place. God made Him to be sin for us, so we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Hallelujah, yes, Praise the Lord.

Prayer for the day: Father, tank you for Jesus who had no sin, but became sin for us so we might be saved. We praise and worship you. This we pray in Jesus name. Amen
