word for the day 04 19 2015, 2 Corinthians 8:9, The grace of our Lord

It is Sunday April 19th. The Lord’s Day, let us rejoice and give thanks and give all the glory to God.

Listen to the word of God to us today.
2 Corinthians 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” (KJV)
Imagine for a minute the Lord Jesus Christ. He left the splendor of heaven, came to earth, born in Bethlehem, die on the cross, placed in a dark grave, all this that we might be saved. He was rich but became poor for you and for me. What an amazing LOVE, and an amazing GRACE. Hallelujah, praise the Lord.

Prayer for the day: Father, thank you for your grace, mercy and love. This we pray in Jesus name. Amen
