word for the day 10 22 2014, Psalm 27:1, No Fear

It is Wednesday October 22nd. TGFT.

Listen to the word of God to us today

Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall FEAR? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be AFRAID?” (NIV)
We live in a time when there is so much fear. Fear about the present and fear about the future. There is fear about Ebola, fear about the economy, fear about terrorist treats. However these fears and others should cause us to depend and trust in the Lord. When he is our light and our salvation, we have NO FEAR.

Prayer for the day
:- Lord, in a world where there is so much fear, we give you thanks that in you we need not fear. We give you all the praise for the comfort we find in you. This we pray in the mighty name of JESUS, our Lord, and our King. Amen.
