word for the day 10 25 2012, Mark 8:26-37, the value of the soul

It is Thursday, October 25th. The storm just passed over Jamaica, and thank God for his mercy, from what I hear from Caswell, all is well. Pray for the Bahamas which will be hit by the storm today.

Listen to the word of God to us today.

Mark 8:36-37 ” For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?   Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (KJV)

There comes a time in our lives when we must evaluate what is truly important. We get so wrapped up in the things the world offer, we forget the essential and the critical things. Today’s word bring our attention to what is vital and that is he relationship we have and should have with the Lord. Stuff is fine, but salvation is most important. Remember is everything think eternal, and view with an eye to eternity.

May the Lord richly bless you.

Prayer for the day:- Father in heaven how we thank you for the great love you have shown to us in Christ Jesus. Help us we pray to lay up treasures in heaven, and place the right priority on our souls, this we pray in Jesus name, Amen.
