word for the day, 06 28 2012, Matthew 16:26, Give Jesus first place in your life

Good morning Family

It is Thursday, June 28th. How are you today? I pray, hope and trust you are well. My desire for you is that you appreciate your blessings and give God thanks for every blessing from his loving care. Great is his mercy towards us each and every day. Lord you are good and your mercy endures forever.
Listen to the word of the Lord.
Matthew 16:26 “For what is a man profited, if he gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or for what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (KJV).
We find the same word in Mark 8:36-37. In other words the words are repeated in the scripture for our benefit. The emphasis here is that the most important thing we need is salvation. You could gain the whole world and it money, it will not satisfy, it will not give peace, and it cannot buy the precious salvation in Jesus. Today if you ask God for anything, let it be the saving of your soul. that is the most important thing you may ever gain in this life. I encourage you to listen to the word of the Lord.
May the Lord richly bless you always
Prayer for the day: Father, how we praise you name for all your blessings towards us. Thank you most of all for salvation in, through and by Jesus. Help us today to have our priority in proper order as we live, that we seek to give you first place in our lives, this we pray in Jesus name, Amen.
Continue to pray for the Morand, Richards and Cindy Clarke family.
